Supported by the ERCIM Working Group on Software Evolution
The focus of this edition of the BENEVOL workshop series will be on "Software Restructuring, Software Evolution and Aspect-Oriented Software Development". Contributions in any of these domains are solicited.
To the extent possible, we encourage participants in their contributions to highlight the cross-fertilisation between the active research domains of "software restructuring and software evolution" on the one hand, and the domain of "aspect-oriented software development" on the other hand. This includes, but is not limited to, research on :
Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 December 2005
The venue of the workshop is the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium, more specifically on the Campus de la Plaine (Google Earth placemarker). The two days are in separate rooms on the campus:
Note that this is nearly the same location as the 'Vrije Universiteit Brussel, which lies just besides it. But when taking a cab, make sure that they bring you to the ULB campus, since otherwise you have to find your way between the two campuses, which is possible but difficult.
The workshop dinner will be in restaurant Belgaqueen, which is located in the very center of Brussels (10 minutes on foot from the "Grote Markt / Grand Place", and 15 from one of the main train stations ("Centraal Station / Gare Central"). The exact address is "Wolvengracht 32, 1000 Brussels". You will be treated to a dinner accompanied by various Belgian beers.
This subsection is still under construction and is mainly a to do list for the organisers themselves :
This workshop will be organised jointly by Kim Mens, Roel Wuyts and Tom Mens.
Contact the organisers.
There will be no official proceedings of the event, but the organisers will take note during the presentations
and may make available a small report, as well as the slides of the presentations, on this website.
Below you can find the preliminary workshop schedule. More detailed information about the Presentations in each session can be found here. With the exception of the Program transformation slot (the presenters of this track are requested to contact the organisers), every presenter can talk for no more than 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of questions. This timing is strict. You can use less than 20 minutes (in which case extra time will be allocated for questions) but certainly no longer.
For the moment we have over 30 participants from different universities in Belgium and abroad.
